Our classic press-welded gratings, known as The Original, are designed for maximum strength and durability. They are ideal for demanding environments where safety and load capacity are paramount.
Futura™ is our modern range of Press-lock gratings, designed with a clean look and high functionality. They combine strength with a light and elegant aesthetic, making them suitable for both industrial and architectural solutions.
PcP’s mesh gratings are composed of flat bars in both directions with bearing bars aligned in the span direction and cross bars positioned perpendicular to the bearing bars. The cross bars, are pressed into specially formed grooves in the bearing bars under high pressure. We manufacture these in two variations. “Pressure-Locked” (press-lock) & “Pressure-Welded” (press-weld also known as forge welded, electro welded & fusion welded) the latter having the addition of an electrical current of approximately 1500°C passed through at the same time of pressing. Both processes securely bind the components into a durable grating.
The gratings are then framed with another flat bar around the edgeson all four sides. Where the edging bars meet at the corners, they are welded to further enhance the grating’s stability. Additionally, an appropriate number of bars are welded to the edging bars for extra reinforcement.
PcP’s steel grating are available in sizes ranging up to 3000x1500mm subject to specification, material and weight We can produce gratings, flooring panels, and stair treads in precise dimensions with cut-outs suitable for any application. Whether you need solutions for walkways, stairs, platforms, façades, ceilings, or other purposes, our goal is to help you create safe and efficient designs.

No matter the industry or application, we can help you create the right solution to meet your project criteria. We specialise in designing and manufacturing bespoke solutions for projects both large and small within industry, construction, and architecture.
When you collaborate with PcP, you’ll receive support throughout the entire process—from design and development to production and delivery.
Mesh gratings and stair treads offer a wide range of options for industries such as construction, offshore, energy, and transportation. PcP’s ELEFANT® products are certified to European standards, including EN 14122 and EN 1991.
PcP delivered a customised solution featuring press-welded gratings and stair treads for Stauning Whisky’s work platform. The platform spans over 1000 m² and stands 3.2 metres high. The grating panels were designed and manufactured to the client’s exact specifications.
ELEFANT® grating is a specialised mesh grating designed to endure heavy loads in industrial and architectural applications. Its durability and strength make it ideal for scenarios where standard gratings are insufficient. At PcP, we ensure compliance with all relevant standards, including ball proof and load-bearing requirements, tailored to each grating’s specific use case. Elefant grating, also known as mesh grating, is a versatile and robust solution for countless applications across industries and construction.
Different types of elefant gratings are available to meet various needs.
Gratings with legs: These come with robust support legs, enhancing strength and stability under significant loads, a critical feature in safety-conscious industrial settings.
Gratings with frames: Reinforced with a solid frame, this type improves structural integrity and ensures the grating maintains its shape even in demanding applications.
For projects requiring bespoke solutions, PcP offers alternatives such as CUBE™ stair treads in steel and stainless steel. These integrate seamlessly into staircases, combining safety and functionality to handle daily traffic in industrial environments.
The length of an elefant grating corresponds to the span direction: L = Length of grating in bearing direction (total span direction)
W = Width of grating
Span is the distance between supports.
A grating measuring 1000 x 1500 mm has 1000 mm in the span direction and 1500 mm in width.
A grating measuring 1500 x 1000 mm has 1500 mm as its span length and 1000 mm as its width.
